In the four-part series, a fire tears through a holiday home in a scenic Lancashire lake town. Detective Ember Manning must work out how it connects to a podcast journalist investigating a missing persons cold case and an illicit ‘love’ triangle between a man in his twenties and two underage girls.
But as Ember gets close to the truth, it threatens to destroy her life – forcing her to reevaluate everything she thought she knew about her past, present and the town she’s always called home.
As much a coming-of-age story as a detective thriller, The Jetty asks big questions about sexual morality, identity and memory, in the places that Me Too has left behind.

说真的，《往事决堤》看完后我真的是久久不能平静！因为这部影片确实带给人的震撼太大了！不论是剧情节奏，还是剧情尺度，都让人不敢相信这是英国剧的水平。
充满了各种自相矛盾的观点，以及对人性的各种颠覆解读，看一遍绝对不过瘾。你每刷一遍，都能对人性有新的认知。
